6.25 kHz / 12.5 kHz / 25 kHz Channel Spacing

Channel spacing is a term used in radio frequency planning. It describes the frequency difference between adjacent allocations in a frequency plan.

The eventual aim of most regulatory bodies is to make the channel spacing as small as possible in order to most efficiently use the available allocations.

It is a difficult exercise for many manufacturers to develop products that can satisfy the current envisaged allocations of 25kHz, 12.5 kHz and 6.25kHz within one product and meet different International regulations within one product format.

The use of Digital Filtering enables ArWest to achieve multiple allocations in one platform whereas manufacturers relying on analog equivalents will have to have one platform for each allocation.
