UHF (Ultra High Frequency) Radios

Ultra high frequency (UHF) designates a range (band) of electromagnetic waves whose frequency is between 300 MHz and 800 GHz. UHF is most commonly used for transmission of television and cell phone signals. UHF is widely used by public service agencies for two-way radio communication, usually using narrowband frequency modulation, but digital services are on the rise. There has traditionally been very little radio broadcasting in this band until recently. The Global Positioning System also uses the UHF band.
